Romelu Lukaku's agent confirms the striker will stay at Inter Milan, as the current Serie A champions are preparing for post-Conte era.

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a move away from the Italian club this summer.

The 28-year-old helped them win the Scudetto after 11 years, but Inter Milan are thought to be under financial pressure, and they could be forced to cash in on some of their key players.

Meanwhile, manager Antonio Conte has left the club after guiding them to a league title, and Lukaku had a close bond with the Italian manager.

Conte’s departure has also fuelled speculations that Lukaku could be on his way to the Premier League with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City keen on signing him.

Chelsea are looking to improve their attacking options this summer, and club owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly keen on bringing the Belgian back to Stamford Bridge.

However, the striker’s agent has now handed Inter Milan a massive boost by claiming that the Belgian international is very happy at the Italian club and he has a contract with them.

His agent Federico Pastorello said: “Romelu is happy at Inter. He has a contract, so there are no problems.”

The Belgian international scored 30 goals in a title-winning one of the best strikers on the planet right now.

Inter Milan will be hoping to defend their domestic crown next year, and they will need players like Lukaku at their disposal in order to do so.

Lukaku leaving the club in the summer would have been a damaging blow to their ambitions. The fans will certainly be excited with the revelation from the player’s agent earlier.
