Werder Bremen 1-3 Bayern Munich: Lewandowski, Muller ensure 3-points for table-toppers

Robert Lewandowski-Serge Gnabry-Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich has been returning to their usual winning ways as they have now won 3 of their last 5 matches. It was a great match for them as the team performed collectively well with each player doing their bit for the team. They ended up winning 3-1 over a spirited Werder Bremen. Talisman Robert Lewandowski finally scored a goal after being denied by the woodwork 4 times.

Bayern defence was top-notch as Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard impressed with their tidy work.

It was not until the 85th minute that Werder Bremen could pose any threat to the scoreline. With 5 minutes left in the match, it was an unlucky one for Manuel Neuer to have missed his clean sheet as substitute Niclas Füllkrug scored one late on the counter.

Earlier, Bayern scored twice in the first half with brilliant goals from Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry. Ace striker Robert Lewandowski didn’t have a good first half as he was brought down several times as the Bremen defenders were constantly marking him. He created a few chances that weren’t converted.

It was also a good outing for Serge Gnabry as he was able to show some genius skills and he looks to be getting back to form.
