Lyon president has shut down Memphis Depay’s transfer to Barcelona. It has been reported that Barca have reached a £28m deal for the signing of the Dutch forward. However, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has denied it through a statement on Twitter.
“President [Josep Maria] Bartomeu told me on Sunday that Barca are suffering a lot from the Covid crisis and that it isn’t possible for them to make an offer.”
Lautaro Martinez staying at Inter
Lautaro Martinez will be staying at Inter Milan, confirmed by his agents. The Argentine striker was heavily linked with a move to Barca, who couldn’t make any breakthrough due to the financial crisis.
Edinson Cavani offer rejected
Barca have turned down the offers to sign Edinson, who was released by PSG as a free agent. The Uruguayan striker has also been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Benfica.
Luis Suarez to Juventus not happening
Luis Suarez’s move to Serie A champions Juventus is less likely after he had failed to attain the Italian passport. The Uruguayan, who has been deemed to be not in the plans of Barca, has the chances to survive under Ronald Koeman.
Arturo Vidal nearing Inter Milan move
The Chilean midfielder is a step away from signing for Inter after Barca reached a deal for his departure. Inter are expected to announce the signing in the coming days.
