Champions League defending champions Real Madrid have placed eight first-team players on the list of players who could leave the club this summer despite a glut of exits already.

The Spanish giants have already started trimming their squad with the exit of club captain Marcelo, Gareth Bale, Isco and Luka Jovic, who left for Fiorentina

However, according to a report in Spanish news outlet Marca, Madrid have identified eight other players who they are willing to let go in this transfer window.

According to the report, attacking midfielder Marco Asensio is the first name on that list. The Spanish international is into the final year of his contract in the Spanish capital and there are no plans to renew his current deal when it expires next year. There is also no plan to increase his game-time next season and so it is thought that Asensio will be on the move.

Although there is no push for the Spain international to leave the club as things stand, Madrid will not stand in his way should a serious bid come.

Another player who is reportedly available this summer is Dani Ceballos. The former Arsenal loanee is in a similar contractual situation with Asensio and will not have his stay at the club renewed. He is pushing for a return to his former club Real Betis this summer, although the La Liga cannot afford his wage demands as things stand.

Defenders Jesus Vallejo and Alvaro Odriozola have also been put on the transfer list while Madrid will listen to offers for strikers Mariano Diaz and Borja Mayoral.

Japanese sensation Takefusa Kubo is also available for transfer with the player poised to join Real Sociedad while 20-year-old Brazilian midfielder Reinier Jesus will be made available for a move.
