Ramos extension talks
Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos will be a free agent at the end of this season and it seems that the club are closing in on a potential agreement with the player regarding a contract extension.
Apparently club president Florentino Perez and Ramos have been in touch over the last couple of weeks and they are close to reaching an understanding.
Apparently, the Spanish club have offered the defender two options. He can sign a single year contract extension with his current salary or sign a two-year deal with a 10% decrease in wages.
Manuel Locatelli interest
Meanwhile Real Madrid are interested in signing the Italian midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
Apparently, Juventus are keen on the player as well and it will be interesting to see where the former AC Milan midfielder ends up.
The chance to play for Juventus would allow the midfielder to stay in his home country and that might be tempting for him.
From Spain they point out that Manuel Locatelli from #Sassuolo could reach #RealMadrid for 40M, the Italian would see him to give Casemiro rest. Other teams that would be interested would be #Juventus and #ManCity Do you see the signing of Locatelli for the merengue team well?
Benzema injury boost
In other news, Real Madrid could be dealt a massive injury boost ahead of their clash with Atletico Madrid on the 7th of March.
Star striker Karim Benzema is currently sidelined with an injury but the French international could be back in action for the Madrid Derby.
Real Madrid are still very much in the title race and a win over Atletico in the Derby game will give them a great chance of closing the gap.
Having Benzema back for the crunch clash is a much-needed boost for Zidane and Real Madrid.
