Los Blancos in the race for Bundesliga playmaker

Real Madrid are in the race for Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Florian Wirtz alongside arch-rivals Barcelona and Chelsea, as per Football London.

The 18-year-old has been in sensational form this season, racking up 7 goals and 7 assists across all competitions.

The German youngster, who has successfully filled the void of Kai Havertz, has four international caps to his name.

Having missed out on Havertz last year, Los Blancos want to secure the signing of his compatriot Wirtz.

While fellow La Liga rivals Barca are showing interest in the Bundesliga prodigy, their financial difficulties could curb their pursuit.

Madrid could lose Isco in January and another recognisable playmaker Brahim Diaz has been loaned out to AC Milan.

Wirtz would be a top signing for Los Blancos given his immense potential and stature as one of the finest talents in Europe. It remains to be seen whether they can fight off other top clubs for his signing.

Madrid to closely monitor Pogba

Paul Pogba would be under close surveillance of Real Madrid over the next two months, reports Marca via Managing Madrid.

The French midfielder’s current deal at Manchester United expires next summer and there are various reports that he wouldn’t extend his stay with the Premier League giants.

Los Blancos are one of the potential suitors for the 28-year-old alongside PSG and Juventus.

Ahead of a potential free transfer next summer, the Spanish giants are set to track Pogba’s health in the coming months, with the Frenchman currently out with an injury.
