Crystal Palace

After a disappointing loss to Tottenham on Boxing Day, Crystal Palace will look to get back to winning ways when they welcome Norwich to Selhurst back this Tuesday.

The hosts who played without their Covid infected manager Patrick Vieira, fell to a 3-0 defeat in their last outing against Tottenham, with Wilfried Zaha getting sent off in the game for two bookable offences.

The result was the Eagle’s third loss in the last five games and pushed them down to 12th on the table.

However, they remain one of the stronger sides at home having lost just one league game at home all season. In fact, only the current top five teams in the league have taken more points from their home games than Vieira’s side.

As such, they come into this tie as favourites and will fancy their chances of taking home maximum points from this game.

Possible Crystal Palace starting line-ups

Jack Butland; Joel Ward, James Tomkins, Joachim Andersen, Tyrick Mitchell; Kouyate, Will Hughes, Conor Gallagher; Andre Ayew, Christian Benteke, Odsonne Edouard.

Injured: Nathan Ferguson, James McArthur.

Doubtful: None

Suspended: Wilfried Zaha

Norwich City

Norwich’s woeful league form continued last time out as Arsenal soundly beat them on Boxing Day.

Goals from Bukayo Saka, Kieran Tierney, Alexandre Lacazette and Emile Smith-Rowe condemned Norwich to a 5-0 loss – their 12th loss of the season.

The result also means that Norwich have picked up just two points from their last seven games. Of course, they remain rooted at the bottom of the table and look destined to get relegated unless they start winning games fast.

However, their recent record against Crystal Palace doesn’t read favourably for them. Dean Smith’s side are winless in the last five meetings with Palace, losing three of the five games. It will take a string showing from the ‘Canaries’ to avoid anothe poor result against their London hosts.

Possible Norwich starting line-ups

Tim Krul; Max Aarons, Ozan Kabak, Ben Gibson, Brandon Williams; Billy Gilmour, Kenny McLean, Jacob Sorensen; Kieran Dowell, Todd Cantwell, Teemu Pukki.

Injured: Andrew Omobamidele, Grant Hanley, Mathias Normann

Doubtful: Pierre Lees-Melou, Lukas Rupp, Josh Sargent, Christos Tzolis, Milot Rashica, Christoph Zimmermann.

Prediction

Crystal Palace 2-1 Norwich
