Berbatov and Carragher react to Ronaldo return

Cristiano Ronaldo completed his return to Manchester United earlier on in the summer add the 36-year-old Portuguese international has become a hot topic for debate between the pundits.

Former footballers and popular pundits across the globe have been discussing the kind of impact Ronaldo could have on Manchester United this summer.

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov believes that Ronaldo will be a luxury signing for the Premier League giants.

“This is a problem; a luxury problem,” Berbatov said.

“When you have Sancho, Rashford, Greenwood, Martial, Cavani and Ronaldo, how do you keep everyone happy here? It is possible, but it’s also near impossible because you’re always going to have someone who is not happy with his playing time, and this is the job of the manager now: how to manage all these connections, playing time and keep everyone happy.”

Meanwhile, former rival Jamie Carragher believes that Ronaldo will have a negative impact on the Manchester United team.

Carragher said: “He is one of the greatest players of all time, no doubt, but I actually think it may have a negative effect on Manchester United.”

PSG linked with De Gea

In other news, Paris Saint Germain could make a shock move to sign the Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

The Spanish international has done reasonably well this season and he could prove to be a quality addition in the short term.

The Red Devils need a goalkeeper capable of replacing David De Gea and it will be interesting to see if they are prepared to let him leave without bringing in a quality replacement.

Apparently, Keylor Navas could be on his way out of PSG if Gianluigi Donnarumma replaces him in the starting lineup and De Gea is being looked at as a potential replacement.
