Rangers sign Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey on loan

Manchester United could be destination for Juve's Aaron Ramsey

Rangers have confirmed the signing of the Welsh international midfielder Aaron Ramsey from Juventus on a loan deal.

The experienced central midfielder had fallen down the pecking order at the Italian club, and he needed to leave in order to play regular first-team football.

Ramsey played his best football in the Premier League with Arsenal, and there is no reason why he cannot make a similar impact at the Scottish club now.

SPFL (Scottish Premier League) champions will be looking to defend their title this year, and the signing of Ramsey could prove to be a defining moment in their season.

The Welshman has the potential to lift the squad massively in terms of quality, and it remains to be seen whether he can regain his confidence and form at the Ibrox.

Ramsey will add composure, technicality, creativity and goals to the Rangers midfield and his leadership and winning experience will be a bonus for the Rangers dressing room as well.

There is no doubt that Ramsey is good enough to play for a bigger club, and he will be desperate to prove his quality in Scotland now.

If the former Arsenal midfielder can impress in the Scottish League until the end of the season, he might be able to secure a big move in the summer.

Ramsey helped Arsenal win two FA Cup finals during his time at the London club, and he will be hoping to win some silverware with the Rangers this season.

After completing his move, the midfielder said: “I am really pleased to be joining a club like Rangers, where there is so much to look forward to between now and May. I had a number of offers on the table, but none matched the magnitude of this club, with European football and the chance to play in front of 50,000 fans every other week. I have had some fantastic conversations with the manager and Ross Wilson, and I’m really looking forward to working with both of them and to meeting the supporters.”
