Grealish agrees on personal terms with Man City
Grealish has been continuously linked with Citizens after reports emerged that they are willing to break the bank for his signing.
Villans were said to be keen on holding on to their skipper and had demanded a fee worth £ 100m.
Now, the latest reports state that the 25-year-old is edging closer to a move to Etihad after agreeing on personal terms with Man City.
Grealish’s stock has risen over the last two seasons after becoming one of the coveted players in the Premier League.
In the 2020/21 season, the Villans playmaker racked up 6 goals and 10 assists and also came out as one of the best creative players in the English top flight.
Grealish was also part of the England national team that finished as runners-up in Euro 2020. Although he wasn’t a regular under Gareth Southgate, Grealish showcased his talent as an impact substitute.
Villans preparing for life without Grealish
The Lions are starting to feel that Grealish could get away from their grip this summer, and they are now reportedly planning for reinforcements.
Grealish’s presence was vital for Dean Smith’s side to finish 11th in the Premier League table last season, and they will look to push more boundaries in the upcoming campaign.
The Clarets have already captured Emi Buendia from Norwich in one of the most exciting transfers of the summer transfer window thus far. The Argentine playmaker had a similar role like Grealish for the Canaries last season, helping them achieve promotion to the top-flight. He was also bestowed with the Championship player of the year award.
Besides, Villa are considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey, who has been an exceptional talent in the Bundesliga over the last few seasons.
