Liverpool and Arsenal are keen on signing the Lille midfielder Renato Sanches.

According to reports from France, the midfielder is valued at €35 million.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal could use some midfield reinforcements, and Sanches could prove to be a superb long term investment for them.

The 23-year-old has been quite impressive over the past year, and his performances in the European Championships certainly caught the eye.

Liverpool have lost Gini Wijnaldum on a free transfer to Paris Saint Germain, and they will need to bring in a technically gifted central midfielder to replace him

Sanches is a hardworking midfielder who will suit Jurgen Klopp‘s pressing style of football. Furthermore, he has the flair and technique to add some much-needed creativity to the Reds’ midfield.

The Portuguese international seems like an ideal fit, and the asking price seems quite reasonable for a player of his talents as well.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool can fend off the competition from the other European clubs and secure his services in the coming days.

Meanwhile, the report adds that the player is keen on a move to Barcelona this summer, but the Spanish giants are under financial pressure, and they will not be able to afford the asking price for him.

Sanches must look to join a club where he can play regular first-team football, and the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal are probably better options for him.
