Chelsea picked up a 4-0 win over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League earlier tonight and the Blues will be delighted to have avenged their defeat against the Italian giants from September.

Goals from Trevor Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner sealed an outstanding home win for Thomas Tuchel’s men.

Here at anytime football, will look at the three major talking points from tonight’s contest.

Chelsea’s back three were impeccable once again

Tuchel decided to field the likes of Chalobah, Thiago Silva and Antonio Rudiger at the back and all three were exceptional tonight.

Silva marshalled the Chelsea defence with expertise and Juventus found it difficult to break them down throughout the game period

The likes of Chalobah and Rudiger also ended up with goals and assists.

Reece James was the star of the show

The England defender has been in red hot form in the last few matches and he followed it up with another sensational display as the right-sided wingback tonight.

The Chelsea defender terrorised the Juventus left flank by bombing forward time and again and he ended the game with a goal. He helped his defenders by dropping back and Juventus struggled to contain him on the counter.

Jorginho pulled the strings from the centre of the park

The Italian international has played against Juventus previously in his career and he was outstanding against the Turin giants tonight.

Everything positive from Chelsea went through the central midfielder and he controlled the tempo of the game with his passing and creativity.

The Italian has been outstanding for Chelsea since the arrival of Tuchel and he will be key to their ambitions this season.
