Manchester United interested in Leroy Sane

Leroy Sane - Manchester City winger joining Bayern

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane.

The Red Devils are looking to sign an attacking player this summer but have grown frustrated in their pursuit of summer transfer target Antony from Ajax. And so, they have reportedly turned their attention to the former Manchester City attacker Sane.

According to the Mirror, Manchester United chiefs have contacted Bayern Munich about the availability of the German.

The German champions are reportedly willing to let go of Sane for the right price, even though he still has three years left on his contract at Allianz Arena.

However, Sane is not the only attacker on United’s shopping list. Erik ten Hag’s side have also identified PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo, Crystal Palace youngster Michael Olise, Villarreal forward Arnaut Danjuma, and Wolves winger Pedro Neto as attacking alternatives should they not land Anthony.

Despite Sane’s links to United’s fierce rivals Manchester City, The Red Devils are not deterred as they feel the winger would make an excellent signing.

Should the 26-year-old make the switch to Old Trafford, he would join a small list of players to represent both Manchester clubs, including Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, England international Andy Cole and Argentina forward Carlos Tevez.
