Inter Milan sanctioned the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea earlier this summer and the Italian champions are looking to bring in adequate replacements before the transfer window closes.

According to reports, they have identified the Lazio forward Joaquin Correa as a potential replacement for the Belgian.

The 26-year-old Argentine international is set to leave Lazio this summer and he has been linked with the likes of Atalanta as well.

The player has suitors in the Premier League too and it remains to be seen whether Inter Milan can fend off the competition and secure his services in the coming days.

Apparently, Lazio value the player at €40 million but the Italian champions are prepared to offer around €30 million for him.

The newly appointed Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has worked with the player during their time together at Lazio and he wants a reunion with the attacker this summer.

Correa can operate as a wide forward as well as a second striker and he could be the ideal partner for Lautaro Martinez.

The 26-year-old will add goals and creativity in the final third for the defending champions and the reported asking price could look like a bargain if the Argentine manages to adapt quickly and make an immediate impact.

Correa scored 11 goals and picked up six assists across all competitions this past season and his numbers are likely to improve when he is playing alongside better players at Inter Milan.

He is already well settled in Serie A and there is no reason why he cannot make a significant impact at Inter this season.
