The Bavarians score four goals in the last ten minutes of the game
Bayern Munich have managed to beat Salzburg at their home after an exciting battle.
The Bavarians entered the game as the favourites but the hosts surprised everyone by taking the lead in the opening minutes through Berisha’s strike.
An equalizer was on the cards after Bayern kept on knocking the doors and it came at the 21st minute, with Robert Lewandowski scoring from the penalty spot. Bayern were later gifted the lead after the own goal of Rasmus Kristensen.
Salzburg started the second half quite impressively as they tested Manuel Neuer in the opening minutes. Although Bayern looked to dominate possession, the Austrian outfit caused problems with their effective counter-attacks. Salzburg got their reward in the 66th minute after Masaya Okugawa came off the bench to score the equalizer.
However, there was a drastic shift in momentum when Bayern restored the lead in the 79th minute as they went on to add three more goals. Jerome Boateng, Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane all found the scoresheet while Lewandowski completed the brace.
Salzburg were unfortunate to slip up their chances after impressing in some parts of the game.
Meanwhile, Bayern have shown they can overcome any odds put in front of them. The defending champions are currently leading the Group A table. Furthermore, Hansi Flick has extended his winning streak in the Champions League to 11 games as the Bavarians manager.
